Amy is a strong and positive force at MRA’s Abingdon, MD office. She is a go-getter who eagerly takes on new challenges. Highly qualified and determined to achieve optimal outcomes for all site engineering projects with which she is engaged, Amy’s focus includes ensuring strict adherence to the client’s schedule, managing the engineering budget, and coordinating all site design approvals and permits with the appropriate jurisdictions and government agencies. A promoter of due diligence/feasibility, Amy excels in identifying development hurdles early in the process with the goal of minimizing cost and schedule impacts. In addition, she maintains a relationship with project contractors to alleviate issues during construction, and is known for her energetic and aggressive approach to project management. Types of land development projects that Amy manages include: office, commercial, industrial/distribution, residential (single and multi-family), state improvement projects, and feasibility/due diligence studies.

With 16 years of experience, Amy leads site planning and site engineering projects for work located mainly in Harford, Cecil, Baltimore, and St. Mary’s Counties, and Baltimore City. As a Maryland registered professional engineer and LEED Accredited Professional, her design experience includes storm drain, water and sewer design, hydrology and hydraulic analysis, erosion and sediment control, grading, stormwater management and 378 embankment design, breach analysis, wetland mitigation and stream restoration design. Her analytical capabilities include technical watershed, floodplain studies, and breach analysis using TR-55, TR-20, HEC-RAS, HY-8, ABSCOUR, Power Riser, SCS method, and the rational method. She is trained in both earthwork and turning template software, and is proficient in the following computer assisted drafting programs: Civil3D, AutoCAD, Terramodel & Microstation.

In addition to design, she is responsible for project coordination and permitting with numerous agencies, such as SHA, MDE, USACOE, BGE, Delmarva, Artesian Water Company, SMECO, City of Baltimore, Critical Area Commission, Harford County, Soil Conservation Districts, Baltimore County, Cecil County, Howard County, St. Mary’s County, APG, etc.

Amy is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Civil & Environmental Engineering. Amy is a member of the Board of Directors for Cecil Business Leaders and is active in the following industry and community associations:
