We are pleased to announce the promotion of Joshua Sharon, PE, LSIT, LEED AP BD+C to Principal of MRA.
Josh joined MRA’s civil engineering group in 2006 and in 2015 was named an Associate of the firm. Now as a Principal with MRA, Josh is responsible for day-to-day management of client services and overseeing a wide variety of civil/site projects performed by our Towson, MD office.
With a comprehensive background in the civil engineering field, Josh’s extensive design experience includes site layout and design, grading, earthwork analysis, storm drain and utility design, hydrology and hydraulic analysis and design, erosion and sediment control design, culvert analysis and design, roadway design and stormwater management design for commercial, retail, residential, and institutional projects. He has extensive knowledge of the procedures for processing permits and developments through Baltimore County, Baltimore City, Anne Arundel County, and other central Maryland counties. Further, he is experienced in developing alternatives analysis to evaluate cost effective design options, and solving design problems with severe site constraints.
In 2009, Josh was named “Consultant of the Year,” by the Baltimore County Soil Conservation District. Josh is a Maryland Professional Engineer and a L.E.E.D. Accredited Professional BD+C. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from University of Maryland, College Park in 2005, and is a member of the following professional and industry organizations: American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Maryland Society of Professional Engineers (MSPE), National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Urban Land Institute (ULI), and Maryland Building Industry Association (MBIA).
